3. ABOUT THE SEVEN SINS
The Seven Sins is the main featured In-Character establishment in The Darkest Region roleplay forum, and can be best described as follows:
“The neighbourhood you find yourself in seems run-down, dilapidated warehouses and long abandoned factories surround you. The sights are far from scenic, and the nearby alleys and slums seem the perfect home for the unsavory; crackheads, whores, dealers, all stripped of innocence and corrupt to the core.
You wonder why you’ve wandered to this God forsaken place, and as you ponder that term, you realize that if any sort of deity existed it was more than likely that they had truly abandoned this part of the City.
You wander the streets, seemingly aimless but unbeknownst to you, you’re helplessly, inexplicably drawn to one single location.
It is here, in the once industrial, now forgotten part of town, that you find an old warehouse whose exterior matches its grim surroundings. But step past the doors, doors with “VII” scrawled into the rusted metal, and you’re transported from a desolate and desperate world, into a sophisticated realm of sin and decadence.
Welcome to The Seven Sins.
You are in the sanctuary of the damned, the faithless, the sinners, society’s forsaken. Dark beings and mortals alike gather in this place of sin and indulge freely in their vices without retribution.
Guilty pleasure?
No such thing in The Seven Sins.
First Storey:
Superbia – The establishment’s pride. The main attraction of Seven Sins, Superbia is a large dancefloor where patrons fall under the thrall of a myriad of special guest acts who typically play a variety of house/techno/funk, depending on the day of the week.
Avarita – Got bling? Then you’ll probably be in Avarita. The choice destination for gangstas and gangbangers, this room is constantly filled with enough bling to blind you if one were to pass by. Amidst the backdrop beats of rap and hip-hop, rival gangs and allies alike gather in uneasy peace in a social setting, because they’re aware that the violence they inflict upon one another is incomparable to the wrath that would be brought down upon them by the management of the establishment…
Gula – A bar for all your indulgent gluttony. Here you will find, apart from all your favourite cocktails and liquer, an assortment of rich foods. Be they chocolate, sweets, or practically anything your palette might crave, Gula shall serve you with relish as you stuff yourself full.
Ira – Essentially a caged moshpit, Ira often hosts live performances from some of the rage-inducing rock/metal/punk acts (mainstream or indie). Home of the raging and emo, the demographic of Ira typically consists of angst-filled youth in leather and make-up.
Second Storey:
Acedia – A plush, all-white expanse of silk and velvet; couches line the soundproofed walls as soft chillout soul plays from speakers hidden from view, yet every smooth soulful strain of music can be heard with amazing clarity as you relax and indulge in the sin of Sloth.
Invidia – There is a reason why this particular room is named after the sin of envy. It is an exclusively private room, for the premium patrons of the establishment, and entry to Invidia is vigilantly guarded by a pair of doormen, one at the foot of the stairway, the other at the doors leading into the lavish room. It is indeed an envy-inducing venue to be in. However, you would be mistaken in thinking that the exclusivity ends at Invidia…
Luxuria – Seeking even more privacy in your indulgement of lust? Approach the staff for rental of our private, lusciously furnished rooms. Luxuria may not be the Shangri-La, but we do provide complete discretion for you to indulge in the most base of sins…”
